Northern youths, including members of the Arewa Youth Coalition Forum (AYCF) met with representatives of Igbos in the north in Kano state on Friday, August 4.Channels Television reports that the groups reportedly met to discuss the controversial quit notice issued to people of Igbos extraction living in the northern.

The meeting in Kano, to resolve the controversy stirred by the infamous letter, is coming less than twenty four hours after the AYCF chairman, Shettima Yerima, insisted that the quit notice still stands.Yerima, however said the group will continue to consult the people of north-central and north-east to determine if they should reconsider their position.
Meanwhile, the Igbo People’s Congress (IPC), and the Igbo Aborigines have lambasted former Abia state Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu over what they called his self-induced romance and talk with the Arewa youths coalition.

When I say that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Radio Biafra broadcaster and self acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and his followers are intellectually retarded, they will feel insulted and provoked. But their intellectual ignorance is a fact and not an insult.
The fact that a group of Igbos are barking like dogs and calling themselves a name that is not in the #Igbo dictionary and did not originate from Igbo tribe is a disgrace and a shame.
The name of Biafra is a foreign name, whereas the name of Nigeria originated from the River Niger.
From archeological discoveries and etymological studies, there is nothing linking Igbos to the Jews. The Jewish link is mere myth of fantasy without any evidence in the DNA mapping. The origin of the Igbos is clearly shown in the Igbo Ukwu Art of Ọ̀ràézè Ǹrì dating back to 948 CE.

- In one of his recent tours, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, came across some excited police officer.
Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has declared that the force will not take it lightly with two of its officers who recently took photographs with Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and had been touring states to gain more support.
In one of such tours, he met the policemen at a checkpoint who excitedly posed for photographs with him.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that while reacting to the photographs that went viral days later, IGP Idris, who was in Lagos, said he was not happy with what happened that day.
He also said the police would be tough in handling the issue as it was very bad for professional policemen to act the way the officers did on seeing Kanu.
Idris, who described Kanu as one troubling the unity of Nigeria, said the action of the policemen that day proved double loyalty
He said the police force was being sanitized to meet the aspirations of the people.
He revealed that the police would create new 88 area commands to meet the level of insecurity in the country.
It was earlier reported that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) recently reiterated its call for referendum, stressing that until the Nigerian government meets its demands, there will be no election in the South East starting from the upcoming Anambra state governorship election.
It was gathered that IPOB said should its call for referendum is not met, it will use the November 2017 governorship election in Anambra state, to set example for what is to come in the future.

An attack by two bombers on the Moloi general hospital in Maiduguri has been foiled by two dogs
Two guard dogs have died after they foiled a bomb attack on a hospital in Borno state by two persons wearing explosive vests.
The foiled attack which occurred on Friday, August 4, was targeted at the Moloi general hospital in Maiduguri, Punch reports.
The botched attack was confirmed by the Borno state police command in a statement by its public relations officer, Victor Isuku.
The statement read: "Today 4/8/2017 at about 0515hrs, two bombers, male and female, attempted to gain entry into the temporary settlement area for rehabilitated leprosy patients within the premises of Molai general hospital, in the outskirt of Maiduguri township, along Maiduguri /Damboa highway.
“They were prevented by the persistent barking and attacks from dogs in the area.”
"In the process, they hurriedly detonated IEDs strapped to their bodies, killing themselves. No other casualty was recorded.
“Police EOD teams were promptly drafted to scenes, to sanitize and render the area and its surrounding safe. Normalcy has since been restored.
Similarly, the chairman of the Borno state emergency Management Agency, Mr. Fatomi Ahmed, said the agency had deployed a rescue team to evacuate debris at the scene of the foiled attack.

According to related reports said the blasts happened in series with the first explosion going off at 3:50 am. The second one reportedly went off between 5:00 am and 5:30 am.r
